Welcome
This is a web site that shows my own experience with 1996 Chevy Z71.

Starting From Stock 1996 Chevy Z71...

I have added: K&N Air Filter Duck System, Airaid Throttle Body Spacer, Bosch Platinum Spark Plug, High Performance Pullies and punched out the Mass Air Sensor...Then added: Ranch Hand Brush Guard, Nerf Bars, Bushwacker Fender Flares, Off-Road Lights, Fog Lamps And put on 285-R16 BFGoodrich A/T Tires. And Then planning to add: Jacobs Performance Electronics.
The Whole Story
I always liked 4x4s. I got my first one when I was 17. It was a Chevy 1984 S10 pickup for about two years, then wrecked it. After my first 4x4 I wanted a Z71. That was THE dream truck. By that time, I had enough money saved up for my first 1993 stock Z71. Right a way I started fixing it up by adding a 3" lift kit, K&N filter and more...I enjoyed every bit of it. There is nothing like working on your own truck. I had it for about seven months then rolled and totaled it out... Ouch! But I did not give up. I went for about six months without a truck saving the best I knew how. Dad then helped me out on the next 1996 stock 350 Vortec Z71. At first I thought it was too nice for me. (I still do in a way). The Vortec has a lot more power then the 1993 Z71 TBI 350 did, and the interior is more modern (like a CD player) and comfort.
